Mount St. Joseph is a not-for-profit intermediate care facility for the developmentally disabled (ICF-DD). The women residing at the facility are at least twenty-three years of age. Mount Saint Joseph is inspected and licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as an Intermediate Care facility with a capacity of 132 beds. The facility is location in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago – in Lake Zurich, Illinois.

The Congregation of the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence own and operate Mount St. Joseph. This religious congregation is international and the Sisters' primary mission in the United States is to provide care and services to the developmentally disabled and the elderly.
